FMN Laboratory shared the latest updates on quantum projects developed at the BMSTU

20 october 2020

FMN Laboratory took part in the MOSCOW INTERNATIONAL FORUM OF INNOVATIVE DEVELOPMENT 2020.

As part of the session “Creation of large data processing systems, machine learning and artificial intelligence” supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, Ilya Rodionov, FMN Lab Director, shared the latest updates and key achievements of the FMN team in the field of quantum computing development.

In just a few years, the center has developed technologies for manufacturing quantum processors on two promising physical platforms. In cooperation with leading Russian research teams, Bauman engineers create qubits based on superconducting and photonic integrated circuits. The parameters of the element base of manufactured quantum processors in both directions are close to the best world analogues.

FMN team conducts research and development in the design and manufacture of quantum computers and simulators, the development of new promising types of qubits, parametric cryo-amplifiers, new materials, as well as electronic equipment and microwave components for quantum cryosystems. All participants in Russia’s largest projects to create a quantum computer based on solid-state processors currently use Bauman chips.
